Serving patients is my passion. I am interested in all aspects of women's health and primary care, especially preventive health care. I encourage my patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle, educate them and share resources to promote good health. Practicing with the philosophy of providing care to patients - valuing respectful and honest communication as well as taking time to hear their concerns is of the highest importance to our clinic.
I am board certified in Internal Medicine and have been practicing with the team at Physicians For Women since 2008 when they expanded their primary care services to include Internal Medicine. I have been practicing medicine in the Madison area since completing my residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 1988, at which time I began my Internal Medicine practice with Physicians Plus Medical Group. I held a faculty appointment to the medical staff in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and provided patient care as a float physician working at several of the surrounding UW Health Internal Medicine and Immediate Care Clinics.
I am married to Pathologist Dr. Michael Strassman and have three children, all of who are active in pursuing their college careers. Even though they are scattered throughout the Midwest, time to spend with family is important to me. I enjoy being active in a number of sports in addition to enjoying the many other outdoor experiences that Wisconsin has to offer no matter the season.
